'These forces of evil will continue to face full might of the state'

RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir resolved on Saturday that operation against terrorists would continue unabated and the armed forces, intelligence and law enforcement agencies shall not rest till the menace of terrorism is rooted out from the country.

The briefing was also attended by interior minister, chief minister Balochistan and key Provincial ministers along with senior civil and military officials. The participants offered Fateha for the martyrs of Mastung, Hangu and Zhob incidents.COAS paid rich tribute to the martyrs and remarked, “Such incidents of Terrorism on 12 Rabi’ al-Awwal, depicts the ill intent of the Khawarij, who have the backing of State Sponsors of Terrorism.

More Violent Protests Rock Manipur: Curfew In Imphal As Protests Continue Against Students' KillingMore violent protests erupted in India's ethnic clashed-hit Manipur state last night over the killing of two students who had gone missing in July, after photos of their bodies surfaced on the internet, this week. Authorities declared an indefinite curfew in state capital Imphal and some other areas after more than 80 students were injured on Wednesday in clashes following protests against the alleged abduction and murder of the two students. Mobile internet services have been suspended in the state for five days. Ethnic violence has plunged the northeastern state bordering Myanmar into what many security experts describe as an intense civil war fought over land, jobs and political clout between its two largest ethnic groups. Since the violence first erupted on May 3, more than 180 people have been killed and over 50,000 have fled their homes in the state.

Violence Continues Unabated In Manipur Thousands Try To Storm Chief Minister's House In ImphalIndia's main Oppositioin party congress has expressed concern over the situation in Manipur as violence continued unabated in the troubled state. Members of congress party submitted a memorandum to the governor of the state in Imphal, demanding stringent action against the accused over the recent killings of two students in the state. The memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister of the country, condemned the killings and demanded justice for the victims. Imphal, the capital city and other parts of the state, witnessed protests recently after the pictures of the two students were recently circulated on social media. Meanwhile, at least 10 people were injured when security officials used tear gas and batons to disperse protesters trying to storm the home of the chief minister of Manipur in Imphal, defying a curfew. Thousands of protestors tried to storm the chief minister's family house. Extra troops were being called in to try to maintain order. The protests across the state have escalated in the past few days with security forces using tear gas shells to disperse the demonstrators, which also left scores of them injured. Since the ethnic violence first erupted on May 3, more than 180 people have been killed and over 50,000 have fled their homes in Manipur.
