How much govt employees’ salary, pension raised from July 2024- details here

Following the approval of the Federal Budget 2024-25 by the National and Provincial Assemblies, government employees will receive salary increases as outlined in the budget proposal.

The federal government, along with the Punjab and Sindh governments, has sanctioned a 25% salary increase for public sector employees. According to the budget proposals, government employees in grades 1-16 will see a 25% rise in their monthly pay starting in July 2024. Additionally, those in grades 17-22 will receive a 20% salary hike.

Furthermore, the federal and provincial governments have approved a 15% increase in pensions for retired government employees. This measure is viewed as a significant effort by the government to address the concerns of its employees and pensioners, especially given the rising cost of living in the country.In the upcoming 2024-25 budget, the government has approved a salary increase for government employees, ranging from 20% to 25%.
