A 20-year-old girl was raped during an armed robbery in Lahore's Gujjarpura area on Thursday.
The girl was a neighbour of the doctor who, as an assistant and would accompany her, to and from the clinic. The robbers took away doctor’s wallet and mobile phone, and the victim's purse and earrings. After robbing them, two of the armed men took the victim to the field where they subjected her to rape, while the remaining two held the doctor at gunpoint.
The police came on the crime scene soon after the incident and after taking the statements of the victims the police sent the girl to the hospital for the medical examination.
