Yulo claims first individual all-around gold in Asian Championships

Paris Olympics-bound Carlos Yulo claimed his first ever gold medal in the individual all-around competition of the Senior Men Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan early Friday, May 17 . Yulo scored a total of 84.931 points in the floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar for the gold.

Yulo is also looking to seize medals in the floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar in the competition. Last year in Singapore, the two-time world champion also topped the vault, floor exercise and parallel bars competitions while placing third in horizontal bar. Prior to this Asian Championships, Yulo claimed a gold medal in parallel bars and silver in vault in the Doha leg of the FIG Artistics Gymnastics World Cup series last month.
