Weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said aside from the easterlies, another weather system – the shear line where the hot and cold air converge – is affecting areas in extreme Northern Luzon particularly Batanes, Cagayan and Isabela.'Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms could be experienced in these areas throughout the day,' said Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration .
Citing the state weather bureau's data and analysis, Aurelio said they have not monitored any low pressure area inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the coming days.'We have sighted cloud formations due to the inter-tropical convergence zone somewhere in Mindanao outside PAR but it has a slim chance to develop into a tropical cyclone,' the Pagasa forecaster said.
