LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – A woman was arrested by Legazpi City Public Market personnel on Thursday morning after she used a P500- bill to buy 3 kilos of rice at the store owned by a barangay kagawad.
The suspect, identified as Ma. Cecilla Nodalo, 63, a resident of Brgy. Capantawan, was temporarily held at the office of Julius Del Rosario, market administrator after Brgy. Kagawad Anaceto Toledo of Brgy. Bonga complained that he was tricked by Nodalo several times by using fake 500 peso bills.The first and second times were when she gave counterfeit P500 bills to pay for 5 kilos of rice.
