CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police arrested a wanted New People’s Army rebel in an encounter in Barangay Tonggohin in Infanta, Quezon on Tuesday, October 17.

Police Regional Office 4-A Director Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas identified the suspect as “Ka Rico,” also known as “Lloyd” and “Bulag,” from Pangil, Laguna, and a member of the Sub-Regional Military Area 4-A of the Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee.Suspect yielded an M16 assault rifle, a caliber .45 pistol, a handheld radio, and personal belongings.

Ka Rico was apprehended on a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Raymund Joseph Morales Soroñgon, acting presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 65 in Infanta, dated August 10, 2023 for attempted murder.
