Meralco is bringing in Nigerian-American Suleiman Braimoh as its new import for the upcoming PBA Season 48, which kicks off on November 5 with the Commissioner's Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Listed at 6-foot-8, Braimoh spent the last eight years in Europe, toiling mostly in Israel's pro league.The Bolts' new coach Luis Trillo confirmed Braimoh as the team's new import to the Manila Times on Wednesday.The former Rice University power forward is taking the spot of Feron Hunt, who was sent home after the Bolts concluded their 2023 Doha International Basketball Tournament stint last September in Qatar. Meralco placed seventh in the eight-team field.

The 33-year-old went undrafted in the NBA in 2011, but built a career overseas that saw him play professionally in Qatar, Japan, New Zealand, Mexico, Germany, Russia, France, Israel, and Turkey.He also played for the Rio Grand Valley Vipers in the NBA G League just a year after his college stint, before playing in Qatar, Japan and New Zealand.Braimoh averaged 12.2 points and 5.
