Two persons were hurt in a fire that razed around 80 houses and rendered 100 families homeless in San Isidro Valley 6 in Barangay San Isidro, Parañaque City early Monday morning, June 20.According to a report from DZBB, injured during the fire were a 58-year old man who had difficulty in breathing and a 17 year-old.
According to Fire Officer 2 Miyuki Tuto, the fire broke out along San Luis St., Sitio Fatima, Valley 6, Parañaque City at around 12:24 a.m.It reached the third alarm by 12:39 a.m. and the fourth alarm by 12:54 a.m., according to Senior Fire Inspector Beverly May Grimaldo-De Leon, the ground commander at the scene.
The fire was put under control by 2:20 a.m. and declared fire out at 4:14 a.m. by Fire Superintendent Bernard T. Rosete of the BFP. The BFP said a loud explosion occurred followed by a fire that immediately spread to houses that were made of light materials. Around 19 fire trucks responded to the blaze. The BFP said fire trucks had difficulty in reaching the area since the road was narrow and there was an ongoing construction.The BFP reported that residents in the area helped in dousing the fire with water from a drainage system.
