Trillanes wants VP Robredo to head IATF

Trillanes was reacting to presidential spokesman Harry Roque’s criticism of Robredo, who earlier called out Palace officials for the poorly coordinated efforts in bringing home stranded individuals in Metro Manila amid the lockdown.

“If Malacanang really wants to flatten the curve, then it should appoint Vice President Robredo to be the IATF chair,” said Trillanes, a vocal critic of the Duterte administration. “Kung si Vice President Leni ang mamumuno at magpapatakbo ng IATF, mas marami itong magagawa at siguradong mas maganda ang kampanya natin laban sa COVID-19 ,” the former lawmaker said.

He also slammed Roque for telling Robredo to present solutions rather than criticize the government’s efforts against the deadly virus.

It will be a decoy for VP Robredo, IATF is one of the government's failure. Baka sakanya pa isisisi ang lahat.

Leni made a good impression on her short stint as a co-chair of anti-drug body last year. Why not give this to her, Mr. Duterte? Set aside politics and prioritise the lives of Filipino people.

The 'Lugaw Queen' should stick to what she is good at - raising funds for the poor. With her past experience, I am sure she will quit the post as some of the Mayors and Governors do not accept the reccomendations of the IAFT.
