The Hyundai Grand Starex Cargo Can Now Be Transformed Into A DOH Type-1 Ambulance
Hyundai Asia Resources has transformed its larger, more capable Grand Starex Cargo into a Department of Health -certified Type 1 ambulance. Thanks to its front-mounted 2.5-liter common rail direct injection engine, the Grand Starex Cargo Ambulance not only cuts down on NVH, improving the safety and comfort of everyone aboard, but it also helps boost available interior space.
Inside, a partition panel separates the driver and passenger compartment making it ideal for transporting COVID-19 positive cases. Meanwhile, the twin-swing rear doors take up less space than a conventional tailgate, allowing it to be opened in smaller confines. Anchored on these features, the Grand Starex Cargo Ambulance is outfitted with these “must-haves” certifying it as a Type 1 ambulance:Built-in cabinet with sliding acrylic glass door and at least three shelves
