NO one in his right mind seeks out war.

If anything at all, avoiding it is foremost in national — and personal — agenda, for given the frightful character of war machines that nuclear power and artificial intelligence have made possible, every victory is, at best, pyrrhic — and that is never good enough!To quake in our boots, crumble to our knees, and kowtow; however, whenever we are threatened, war is neither an option. That would make us perpetual lackeys of the mighty, forever scurrying when despots bark in our direction.

Our Supreme Court is supreme in the area of adjudication — and it can and has stopped the legislature and the executive in their tracks on different occasions.One reason I have always written about the arbitral decision is that whatever may be the confabulations of the apologists of Chinese aggression and provocation, we have a declaration by a competent forum about where the rights lie — and they definitely do not lie on the side of China.
