Senate President Vicente Sotto III on Monday took a swipe at exiled communist leader Joma Sison for claiming that the United States can overthrow President Duterte for his passive stance on China’s intrusion in the West Philippines Sea.
But the US, he claimed, is not doing this as the superpower is supposedly still using Duterte to crack down on the revolutionary movement and to make changes in the Charter to allow 100 percent foreign ownership of corporations.“American coup on PRRD? You must be reading too much John Grisham and Tom Clancy books. Try Danielle Steel for a change,” the Senate leader said in a text message to reporters Monday afternoon.
Sison was commenting on Duterte challenging the US to “fire the first shot” at China while he reiterated that he will not enforce the Philippines’ successful arbitral ruling to the disputed waters in fear of war. He also called the Chief Executive a “coward”. Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo had also brushed aside Sison’s statements and called it “wishful thinking.”
Last July 2, Duterte asked the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippines National Police not to stage a coup de etat during his term.
kick out na us bases. wala na ang ICE field Office. either mga mercenario ng 'tate ang papagalawin o mga bayarang terroristang Sunni..
Don't bring Danielle Steel into this.
