Nagtala ng 11 kaso ng coronavirus disease ang Soccsksargen Region sa loob ng dalawang araw simula noong Huwebes, ayon sa mga health officials ng rehiyon.
Batay sa COVID-19 tracker ng Department of Health Center for Health Development-Soccsksargen Region, pito sa mga bagong kaso ay naitala sa lalawigan ng Sultan Kudarat noong Huwebes. Apat sa mga ito ay nanggaling sa Cebu, at tatlo naman ang nagmula sa Metro Manila. Ayon kay Dr. Gina Galinato, pinuno ng provincial health office ng Sultan Kudarat, isa sa kanila ay OFW at ang anim ay matagal lang nakauwi sa probinsiya sa magkakahiwalay na araw. Nagkataon lang na nagkasabayan ang pagdating ng mga resulta ng test sa swab samples ng mga pasyente.
Nitong Biyernes apat ang naitalang nagpositibo sa COVID-19. May isang taga-Sultan Kudarat na may travel history sa Maynila, isang taga-Sarangani, isang taga-General Santos, at isang taga-South Cotabato na galing din ng Maynila. Nasa isolation facilities sa mga munisipyo na ang mga pasyente, na nasa stable na kondisyon. Nagpapatuloy ang contact tracing ng mga nagpositibo sa sakit, lalo na ang mga nakasalamuha nila sa pagbabalik nila sa probinsiya.
Umakyat na sa 73 ang kabuuang bilang ng mga nagpositibo sa COVID-19 sa Soccsksargen, at 44 dito na ang gumaling.
