In its 11 p.m. tropical cyclone bulletin, the state weather bureau said that the center of Goring's eye is estimated to be 240 km east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan as of 10 p.m.
The storm is moving north-northwest at 10 km/h, with maximum sustained winds of 155 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 190 km/h.Signal No 2. has been raised over the following areas:Signal No. 1 has been raised over the following areas:the northern portion of Apayao Goring is forecast to re-intensify over the next two to three days while moving northwest over the Luzon Strait. It may make a close approach to Batanes—possibly even make landfall—between Wednesday morning and afternoon.
"Re-intensification into a super typhoon is not ruled out. Nevertheless, the typhoon is forecast to pass near or over Batanes during or near its peak intensity," PAGASA said.Forecast rainfall Batanes, Babuyan Islands, the northern portion of Ilocos Norte, and the northern and eastern portions of mainland Cagayan are expected to see 50 to 100 mm of rainfall from Monday night to Tuesday evening.
Enhanced by Goring, the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, meanwhile, is forecast to bring occasional or monsoon rains over the western portions of central Luzon, southern Luzon, and the Visayas over the next three days.
