INCUMBENT and former senators on Monday paid their last respects to former senator and Armed Forces chief of staff Rodolfo 'Pong' Biazon who died on June 12 at the age of 88.

The Senate held a necrological service for Biazon with former Senate presidents Franklin Drilon and Vicente Sotto 3rd in attendance.Former senators Gregorio 'Gringo' Honasan 2nd, Jose 'Joey' Lina Jr., and Sotto gave their respective eulogy.Biazon was a three-term senator and a two-term member of the House of Representatives, representing the lone district of Muntinlupa .

In a resolution honoring the former Marines officer, Zubiri described Biazon as 'a steadfast champion of decent and affordable housing and of security and defense.
