In a statement on Wednesday, the SEC said it will be issuing a memorandum circular regarding the new schedule for firms impacted by the outbreak to give them more time to finalize their reports.
In a statement released on January 28, the SEC pointed out that the deadline for submission of annual reports is on April 20 to May 22 for companies whose fiscal year ended on Dec. 31, 2019. The regulator will be releasing a memorandum circular outlining guidelines on attendance and participation of directors, trustees, stockholders, member and other officers, in accordance with Republic Act 11232 or the “Revised Corporation Code.”
The BIR should also extend the deadline for physical filing of ITRs and allow filing outside of the revenue district. Not everyone is capable of doing this online, difficult as it already. Attention DOF_PH!!!
