In recognition of their effort to give pride to the country in the recently concluded 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, two bronze medalists who are residents of Barangay San Antonio in Pasig City received tokens of appreciation from their barangay chairman.

Barangay San Antonio, Pasig Chairman Raymond Lising congratulates bronze medalists Josef Maximillian Valdez and Adam Ortiz Bondoc during their courtesy call at the Barangay Hall.

“I am very elated and proud that Josef and Adam, both my constituents, brought pride and honor to our country,” Lising said in a statement Sunday. According to Lising, he kept on promoting sports to the youth of the barangay for he believes that an active and healthy lifestyle is important especially for children.

The barangay chairman said sports will also keep the youth away from engaging with illegal drugs and other vices that would ruin their lives.
