MANILA—The contingents of Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia were asked to reschedule their flights, after organizers decided on Wednesday that Southeast Asian Games Games polo events have to be pushed until next week.
All matches will resume Thursday, 12:30 p.m, with the finals to be played on Monday, Dec. 9, said national-polo official Mikee Romero, owner of the Miguel Romero Polo Field in Calatagan. "All Games are moved . . . due to the condition of the field caused by Typhoon Tisoy," Romero wrote on Facebook without giving details of the facility's current state.
"Please make arrangements with your respective NOCs to rebook your flights. We will make arrangements for the extension of your transportation and accomodations from our end." ABS-CBN News tried to ask Romero about the extent of damage at the venue named after his late son, but the lawmaker has yet to respond to messages.DECEMBER 6
