The Supreme Court has extended until July 31 the validity of the clearance certificates of accredited insurance companies which deal with the courts.

Court litigants and lawyers avail themselves of the services of the accredited insurance companies in the posting of bail bonds and other monetary requirements of the court in their cases.

Most of the companies, affiliated with the Philippine Insurers and Reinsurers Association , have accreditations which expired last Jan. 31. Their request for extension due to difficulties they encounter in view of the current coronavirus disease pandemic has been approved by Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo on recommendation made by Court Administrator Jose Midas P. Marquez.

The approval of the extension was relayed by Marquez to all justices of the appellate courts and judges of the trial courts in a memorandum circular.
