MANILA, Philippines — Walang iba kundi pasasalamat ang inihayag ng Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas at Philippine Basketball Association .

Malaki ang naging papel nina Pangilinan at Ang sa hangaring maibalik sa Pilipinas ang kampeonato ng Asian Games sa unang pagkakataon sa loob ng mahigit anim na dekada. Matatandaang ilang araw bago magsimula ang Asian Games, problemado ang Gilas c­oaching staff dahil sa accreditation ng ilang pla­yers.

Hindi masisilayan sa aksyon si Calvin Abueva sa oras na makaharap ng Magnolia Chicken Timplados ang TNT sa opening day ng PBA Season 48 Commissioner’s Cup sa Nobyembre 5 sa Smart Ara­neta Coliseum.
