SBP, PBA laud men behind Gilas Asiad win

'The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas and the Philippine Basketball Association are celebrating with immense pride and joy the historic moment brought about by the landmark championship won by the GILAS PILIPINAS MEN'S TEAM at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China – 2023,' the SBP and PBA wrote in their joint statement on Wednesday.

Both the SBP and the PBA will issue joint board resolutions commending the works of Gilas team manager Alfrancis Chua, as well as deputy team manager and PBA commissioner Willie Marcial, for exhibiting 'hands on' management skills for their efforts in motivating the team.In addition, they have also cited the support of SBP chairman emeritus Manny V. Pangilinan and San Miguel Corporation chief executive officer Ramon S.
