Vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte-Carpio will push for mandatory service in the military for those 18 years old should she win in the upcoming elections.
During her virtual “caravan” streamed on her Facebook page on Wednesday night, Duterte-Carpio said she would use the Office of the Vice President to ask legislators from the House of Representatives and the Senate to come up with a law making “military service for all 18 years old, male and female, mandatory in our country,” like what is being done in South Korea and Israel.
She added it should not just be like a simple Reserve Officers’ Training Corps that is only part of a college subject and runs for just a week or a month. Duterte-Carpio’s plan came after she was asked about her plan on how to make the young people become part of the nation building. “Dapat po lahat ng ating 18 years old … you will be given a subsidy, you will be asked to serve our country doon sa ating Armed Forces of the Philippines,” she said.
Bla bla bla
A Big NO
Anong relevance mo ghorl ? Out of touch with reality ka din tulad ng ama mong walang kwenta hayz 🤪😜🤣😂
This I approved! 👍👊💚
Nope! We had enough of military minions controlled by Kanor. And now this? It will only give the power-hungry the chance to abuse and use it for their own. There are far more and better things to do in our country than to put a grip on our youth! NeverAgain NeverForget
That's why there should be fairness regarding Fraud Corruption in The Government-Bank, BIR and others where Money of the people Government are, so that the Government can finance employment good for progress & Philippines- not always one of the 'developing poor nation,' isn't it?
Subsidy and mandatory? Mandatory or subsidized once your volunteer? Pag mandatory, most likely walang subsidy. Which budget would be sacrificed for you to create the fund?
Noong Araw my tinatawag sa military training as Daftest
SHUTTTAAAA KA
Pros and cons but please make sure our kids are safe!!! Safe from hazing safe from discrimination safe from etc. If you make it mandatory make sure govt takes full responsibility to what happens to my kid.
Go Sara... i-push mo yan!
Tulungan mo muna Tatay mo lutasin an problema ha sa Pandemic..
Tita covid muna. Pag wala na khit ano ok lang
Pandemic in the Philippines is the spread of weak and lazy men. Far more Familles are dependent on a matriarch and single mothers are too common. Give men purpose. Strong men create strong societies.
The subsidy if reasonable will be very attractive and opens up a lot of options for an 18 year old. Compared to those nagtatanggap lang ng allowance money. Specially if the amount of the subsidy has saving left even after daily expenses.
I think it's best to let them graduate college first, and have atleast 3 years to live their life and ambitions they wanted to pursue. Enlisting them at 18 is like depriving their personal dreams and aspirations. Ages 25-30 is the most ideal bracket for military enlistment.
Sus! Lahat ipapangako nga naman e no. 😂😂😂
Nope.
I fully support this. I really believe it instills discipline, respect of authority, and love of country. But the main challenge would be in the execution. The program has to be taken seriously for it to be really effective.
shut up ka muna tita S unahin nyo muna kaya manduhan at utusan mga barkada mong chinese sa dagat natin na umalis para bumaba na price ng fish at magkatrabaho na ulit yung mga pobreng mangingisda bago mo manduhan kaming mga kabataan sa gusto mo. lead a good example first
Yes! In Switzerland🇨🇭, 19 years of age for male compulsory military service; 18 years of age for voluntary male and female military service. parasabayan 🇵🇭
So after going through senior high school, Sara wants the youth to stop their academic studies and serve in the military for two years. After that, what? Does she expect that those youths would be able to continue their academic studies without issues after those two years?
An important consideration NOT TO VOTE for DaughterTE. PH is not a military state and not a country at war. Mandatory military service is not in the best interest of the Filipinos.
