A Holy Mass was held at the St. John The Baptist Church in San Juan City on Saturday morning, June 24, for the repose of the soul of late Vice Mayor Warren Villa, who died earlier this week. ManilaBulletin

Mayor Francis Zamora, other local government officials, and members of the public attended the Mass that coincided with the celebration of the Feast of St. John the Baptist.

After the Mass, a blessing ceremony coined the “Basbasan sa Makabagong San Juan” took place wherein Fr. Kalaw blessed the attendees as a way to “foster spiritual unity and seek the blessings of St. John the Baptist for the city and its residents.” To truly honor Villa, the local government opened Villa’s wake to public viewing on June 24 at the San Juan City Hall.By June 25, a necrological service will be held at the Atrium of the city hall wherein a special ceremony to recognize Villa’s contributions to the city will be conducted.
