A bodyguard arrested for illegal possession of firearms was killed after he attempted to grab the gun of a police officer while on their way for a medical exam in Pasay City on Tuesday.
Police said that while on their way to the Ospital ng Paranaque from the Southern Police District for a medical examination, Capia complained of tight handcuffs to the investigator. Police report showed personnel of QCPD’s Fairview Police Station were conducting a checkpoint on the corner of Mindanao Extension and Regalado Avenue in Barangay Greater Lagro around 11:40 a.m when they flagged down Cariño who was onboard his motorcycle for not wearing helmet.
Cariño told the police that he was on his way to Bulacan to hide after the incident when he was blocked in the checkpoint. Investigators of the Quezon City Police District said the victim was only identified as Daryl Damaso through an identification card found inside the pocket of his short pants.An initial report from QCPD’s Galas Police Station showed that a concerned citizen tipped off Barangay Santol officers around 2:15 a.m. that a body of a man was dumped nearby.
Killed were Romeo Rayoso, alias Ome, who was the top 4 in the list of drug personalities in the town, and a certain Mac. Police said the two suspects were believed to be members of the Highway Boys, a group of robbery and illegal drugs syndicate operating in the province and nearby areas in Metro Manila.A man was killed when he was peppered with bullets after only pacifying a confrontation in Caloocan City Tuesday late afternoon.
