A 62-year-old alleged drug personality died after shooting it out with anti-narcotics operatives in a buy-bust operation in Pasay City Monday night.

According to authorities, a police poseur buyer was able to purchase P500 worth of illegal drugs from Abonita that led to his arrest. Police said that the suspect resisted, and pulled out his firearm and fired back at police who retaliated.Police recovered from his possession a caliber .45 pistol loaded with four pieces of live ammunition, 28 pieces of small transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, P500 buy bust money, and P1,000 worth of suspected drug money.

Investigators have already requested the security footages from nearby residential houses to possibly identify the burglar.Thirteen drug suspects were rounded up by the police in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Quezon City Monday night and Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, Masambong Police Station arrested Arlen Jumawan, 40, after a concerned citizen tipped the police of her illegal drug activity at Capricorn Street in Brgy. Bagong Pag-asa around 10:50 p.m.Members of Kamuning Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit nabbed 23-year-old Kenneth Besario after yielding a medium sachet of dried marijuana leaves in a drug sting at Matalino Streey in Brgy. Central around 11:20 p.m.

The suspects were initially accosted for driving a motorcycle without helmets and for not wearing shirts but each yielded a sachet of shabu when frisked by checkpoint officers.
