Two alleged robbers were killed in an armed encounter with the police shortly after they held-up a passenger jeepney in Quezon City early Thursday.
The witness immediately sped off and sought help from officers patrolling nearby who immediately went to the area where they found an already empty jeepney. Instead of surrendering, the two pulled out their handguns and shot at the cops who retaliated and eventually killed them. The 24-year-old suspect was arrested at around 8:45 p.m. along Paulino Street in Barangay Kalawaan while in the act of playing dice with another suspect, police said.Prior his arrest, Guerrero said his men were conducting operation against a wanted suspect in the area when they received a call regarding two men gambling along the street.
Suspect is now detained at Pasig City Police detention cell and appropriate charges were filed against him.A still unidentified man was found dead inside a room of a lodge in Malabon City on Thursday early morning.
