A pedicab driver was not given the chance to ring in the new year after two men onboard a motorcycle gunned him down in Camarin, Caloocan City Monday evening.Investigation showed that Tiguman was plying San Vicente Ferrer Road at Barangay 178 in Caloocan at about 8 p.m.

A man was killed while his companion was wounded when two gunmen onboard a motorcycle shot them in Pasay City early Tuesday. A councilor of the local barangay immediately sought assistance from authorities following the incident, prompting the Pasay City police to cordon off the crime scene. Police Lt. Col. Rossel Cejas, chief of Quezon City Police District’s Novaliches Police Station identified the victims to be John Roeze Fermilan, 16, and Dannul Abbie Jaafar, 40, both from Barangay Gulod.

Jaafar died on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds while the attackers immediately fled the scene bringing the firearms used. A follow-up investigation is now ongoing to establish the motive, as well as to identify and locate the gunmen.Police seized over P25,000 worth of suspected shabu from an alleged drug peddler during a buy-bust operation in Mandaluyong City a night before New Year’s Eve.
