Robredo in quarantine after exposure to COVID-19 case

Vice President Leni Robredo said on Sunday, October 25, that she has placed herself in self-quarantine after she was exposed to a person who later tested positive for COVID-19., adding that events under her office will be done online “until necessary.”

“On Friday morning, we learned that someone my chief of staff and I had very close contact with, tested positive for COVID. Following protocol, we decided to do self-quarantining beginning Friday until we get a swab test,” Robredo said on Sunday. The development came at the end of what the Vice President described was a “blockbuster week.” Robredo’s office, known for its pandemic response activities, had just opened community learning hubs throughout the country and launched livelihood and out-of-school job programs.This is not the first time a COVID-19 case has affected work in Robredo’s office.

after 4 of its staff members tested positive for the virus. At the time, Robredo was also tested and was found negative for the coronavirus.
