THE Quezon City government refused to issue a permit to the camp of Vice President Maria Leonor 'Leni' Robredo for its 'thanksgiving event' on Friday. The city's Department of Public Order and Safety chief Elmo San Diego confirmed this to The Manila Times, saying that the Liwasang Aurora at the Quezon Memorial Circle was not an ideal venue to hold the planned gathering.

The 'Tayo ang Liwanag: Isang Pasasalamat' will instead be held at the Ateneo de Manila University. The local government said the cancellation of the permit came following 'an extensive dialogue' between DPOS and the organizers of the event.San Diego said the event organizers have understood and respected the city government's decision not to grant the application for the permit.Robredo is a far second from former senator Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr.

A thanksgiving for the loss? Come on. The motive is panggulo. What do you expect BITTER losers would do? This doesn't speak well of the leadership behavior of Leni, her lack of statesmanship and class.

What changed? Other rallies also create traffic jams! During campaign, QC turned pink! Now, the QC has to play politics, a subtle way of conceding to BBM and the new President!
