Punong tanod patay sa pamamaril sa Ilocos Sur

Ayon sa hepe ng Santa Police Station na si Police Lt. Joseph Fieldad, nag-away ang biktima at ang kaniyang bayaw habang parehong lasing, kaya rumesponde ang dalawang kagawad ng barangay. Nang dumating ang punong barangay ay kinausap niya ang biktima para awatin, pero imbes daw makinig at magpaawat ang biktima, ay inatake niya ang chairman gamit ang isang patalim.

Nakailag ang suspek at binaril ang biktima, na naging dahilan sa pagkasawi nito. Sinabi ng suspek sa pulisya, dinepensahan lang niya ang kanyang sarili. "Dahil siguro sa kalasingan ay bumunot daw allegedly 'yung biktima ng patalim at sinugod niya ang barangay captain. Dahil sa nangyari, sabi po ng barangay captain, in self-defense, binunot daw niya 'yong baril niya na nakalagay sa isang bag at binaril na niya 'yung biktima, " ani Fieldad. Boluntaryong sumuko sa mga pulis ang suspek na sasampahan ng reklamong murder.
