Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said the public cannot be blamed for their failure to understand the reasons for the delay of the arrival of COVID-19 vaccines.

Manila City Mayor Francisco Isko Moreno Domagoso talks to his fellow LGU workers during the flag raising ceremony at Kartilya ng Katipunan on Monday, February 22, 2021. “Masyado naman ang delay and the people will never, ever understand the delay,” he told reporters on Tuesday .Domagoso said this after vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. admitted on Feb. 19 that the Philippines is lagging behind other countries that have begun their vaccination drives against COVID-19.

“Kaya nga ako naniniwala kay Secretary Galvez kasi he’s doing his very best, but there is what we call world demand,” he said.
