All chairpersons of the 201 barangays in Pasay City have been directed to put into operation mobile phone hotlines for COVID-19 through which their constituents can communicate with them while in quarantine.

“Ang bawat isa sa mga barangays na ito ay dapat maglaan ng at least isang cellphone – pwedeng yung personal cellphone ni chairman o ni kagawad o kahit kanino man dun sa kanilang barangay hall – na magiging Barangay Hotline for COVID-19, para yung kanilang constituents ay doon na lang sa Hotline na iyon makikipag-usap sa mga barangay officials tungkol sa anumang concern nila na may kinalaman sa COVID-19 at sa quarantine ,” said Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano.

These barangay hotlines for COVID-19 could also serve residents who might present with some ailment symptoms in their and seek comfort by consulting or discussing this with barangay officials whom they have been personally familiar with or on whose authority they feel they could count. They must likewise share these Barangay Hotline/s for COVID-19 with the Pasay City Public Information Office and the Pasay City Health Office for these offices’ database and for ready access, communication, and reference.

These barangay hotlines for COVID-19 could also serve residents who might observe some ailment symptoms in their bodies and would feel more comfortable consulting or discussing this with barangay officials whom they have been personally familiar with, being neighbors for some time already.
