Nueva Vizcaya Gov. Carlos Padilla died on Friday morning at the age of 78 after suffering a heart attack, according to initial reports from his relatives and friends.Two days earlier, on Wednesday, May 3, Padila led the opening of a fresh vegetable depot at the Nueva Vizcaya Agricultural Terminal.
Padilla was serving his third consecutive term as governor. He left his wife, Ruth, who also served as governor, and children Carlos “Jojo” II, Ruthie Maye, and Carlo Paolo.
