Another bank was being targeted for online hacking, an official of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) revealed Saturday, Jan. 22.“We received information that a bank was being targeted,” Victor Lorenzo, head of NBI’s cybercrime unit, said in an interview over ABS-CBN’s Teleradyo. 

He did not provide other details but said they have already discussed the matter with the unnamed bank, which has also been advised to review its online security system.Last Friday, Jan. 21, the NBI presented five suspects, including two Nigerians, allegedly behind the “Mark Nagoyo” bank hacking incident wherein Banco de Oro (BDO) customers lost money through unauthorized bank transfers.
