Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco signed Executive Order No. TMT-056 ordering that a lockdown be enforced in Block 31, Lot 36, Barangay NBBS, Dagat-Dagatan, Navotas City from 5:01 a.m. on Saturday, December 5 to 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, December 19.
“Ocular inspection revealed the possible spread of the virus within the said area given that lack of ventilation was noticed, with houses in the compound built in close proximity to each other,” the order read.“Hindi po natin gusto ang lockdown; mahirap ito para sa ating lahat. Ngunit kailangan po ito para sa ikabubuti ng bawat isa. Hinihingi po namin ang iyong lubos na suporta at kooperasyon. Pakikiisa ang tatapos sa pandemya ,” he said in a statement.
