LAWMAKERS have shared different views on the performance of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on his first 100 days in office as the country’s highest official.

Zubiri also commended Marcos for continuing the Build, Build, Build projects of the administration of former President Rodrigo Duterte for the infrastructural development in the country. “We passed his budget on third reading, so we’re well on our way. That’s the most important piece of legislation. That’s the national budget for 2023, so my assessment is that he’s done a great job,” he added.

“And on the part of the House, we support him wholeheartedly and we wish him Godspeed and congratulations to his first 100 days,” he added. Vice President Sara Duterte, who is also the concurrent secretary of the Department of Education , said among the biggest achievements of the administration was the resumption of the face-to-face classes and to ensure the safety of teachers and students amid the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic.

Hontiveros cited the sugar importation controversy where he said Marcos lacked a decisive stance on how it should be resolved. For his part, Senate Minority Leader Aquilino"Koko" Pimentel III advised Marcos"to keep his eyes on the ball" as the country battles with the rising inflation, high cost of fuel, and joblessness.
