Makati Mayor Abby Binay on Monday said the city government will find ways to continue the assistance to residents of the 10 barangays that will be transferred to Taguig City’s jurisdiction.

In a video posted on the city’s Facebook page My Makati, Binay said she will coordinate and work with national government departments and agencies to ensure the continued aid to the affected residents.

“Handa ako at ang inyong city government na tulungan kayo. Saan man kayo mapunta kayo ay mananatiling Makatizens ,” she said. “Hahanap kami ng paraan para maipagpatuloy ng Makati ang pagtulong at paglilingkod sa inyo ,” Binay added. Binay expressed concern that the 300,000 affected residents would not receive the same assistance such as for education and health under the jurisdiction of the Taguig government.given to all the other city communities.asking the high court to allow it to file a second motion for reconsideration over its territorial dispute with Taguig.assailing the SC's December 1, 2021 decision that ruled in favor of Taguig.

In 2021, the SC ruled that the Fort Bonifacio Military Reservation, consisting of parcels 3 and 4, psu-2031, was part of the territory of Taguig City.
