Makati City Mayor Abby Binay pledged to support Makatizens in the city's second district and work with the national government to resolve the city's land dispute with Taguig. | ManilaBulletin READ:

"Kahit na nakatali ang aking kamay, bilang inyong mayora ay handa akong ipagpatuloy ang paglilingkod sa inyo. Handa ako at ang inyong city government na tulungan kayo saan man kayo mapunta, kayo ay mananatiling mga Makatizen ," Binay said in a video message released on Monday morning, July 17.

The mayor tried to fight back tears and keep her composure while delivering her message but her voice broke as she called on her constituents for their support. "Mga kapwa ko Makatizen, magsama-sama at maghawak-kamay tayo. Hindi kami susuko. Hindi ako susuko. Bilang inyong mayora, ipinapangako ko na hanggang sa dulo, hindi ko kayo iiwan ," she said as tears fell from her eyes."Sa susunod na mga araw makikipagugnayan at makikipagtulungan ang inyong lingkod at city government sa mga kaukulang departmento at ahensya ng national government ," she added.
