The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has granted the request of transport operators to extend the deadline of the payment for all the penalties that were imposed on them for violating the rules and guidelines of the government.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board has granted the request of transport operators to extend the deadline of the payment for all the penalties that were imposed on them for violating the rules and guidelines of the government.

In granting the request, Garafil said they took into considerations the hardship that the transport sector went through due to pandemic through the series of lockdowns that started in March 2020. But Garafil said the extension of the payment of penalties, including the Supervision Fee, will only be granted under the condition that the transactions are filed before the Dec. 31 deadline.

The application for extension of validity of an expired CPC has a payment of P510 for first two units and P70 for each of the unit over two units. Should the drivers and operators fail to file the transaction within the extended period, the penalties will be P10,000 per unit except for passenger jeepneys which has P5,000 penalty per unit.
