Defining the News

American rapper and singer Lizzo took to Instagram to clarify a previous statement where she said she was quitting. In a video posted on her official account, the pop sensation emphasized she wasn’t abandoning her music career.

“I just need to clarify when I say I quit, I mean I quit giving any negative energy attention. What I’m not gonna quit is the joy of my life, which is making music, which is connecting with people ‘cause I know I’m not alone,” said Lizzo. Lizzo acknowledged she wasn’t alone in facing negativity. “I hope to inspire at least one person in a similar situation to stand up for themselves,” she said.
