Defining the News

Department of Social Welfare and Development Undersecretary Eduardo Punay had this to say on Thursday as he commended a utility worker at NAIA for returning his mobile phone after it went missing.

The Manila International Airport Authority was happy to receive the good news about what the airport worker did.“Mr. Ogoc’s display of honesty not only sets a good example to his colleagues, but also proves that our efforts to promote integrity and professionalism among airport workers are gaining ground from all levels of service,” it stated.

NAIA has been receiving criticism from netizens lately after videos showing rats and bedbugs in the airport premises went viral. Business groups have also called on the airport management to address the pest problem, as it could impact the country’s tourism industry.
