LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – Bishop Joel “Bong” Baylon of the Diocese of Legazpi has issued a Diocesan Circular, asking the clergy, religious and lay faithful to observe and keep in mind the 3 Ps or Prayer, Precautions and do not Panic as nation faces disaster due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

, Albay – Bishop Joel “Bong” Baylon of the Diocese of Legazpi has issued a Diocesan Circular, asking the clergy, religious and lay faithful to observe and keep in mind the 3 Ps or Prayer, Precautions and do not Panic as nation faces disaster due to the coronavirus disease 2019 .

He advised that the faithful should continue to pray the “Oratio Imperata”, and intensify prayers to seek Divine protection and intervention against COVID-19 outbreak. Among the measures that will be observed in Albay churches would be that holy water fonts will be kept empty. The practice of dipping of hands on the stoup will be temporarily suspended and instead, churches and parishes will provide alcohol containers to be made available and accessible at church entrance and parish offices.

Holding hands while praying the Lord’s Prayer nor shaking hands when giving the sign of peace will temporarily not be allowed, while a slight bow and smile would be a sufficient substitute.
