A lawmaker at the House of Representatives on Tuesday filed a complaint against former president Rodrigo Duterte before the Office of the City Prosecutor in Quezon City.

ACT Teachers Rep. France Castro accused Duterte of making alleged grave threats in relation to Section 6 of the Cybercrime Prevention Act, stemming from his statements earlier this month in a program on SMNI wherein he talked about Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte's plans for confidential funds.The former leader said: 'I told her to be frank. this intelligence fund, I will use for Filipinos' minds because my target is you communists in Congress.

'But the initial target of your intelligence fund is France, communists whom I would like to kill. You tell him,' said Duterte in Filipino.Under the national budget bill for 2024, the House has realigned P1.23 billion meant for confidential funds of several government agencies.Marikina City 2nd District Rep. Stella Quimbo said the funds were realigned 'to protect and secure the West Philippine Sea.'Quimbo said that of the P1.23 billion, P1.
