‘Ineng’ keeps strength, rains to drench Luzon

Tropical Storm"Ineng" has maintained its strength and will bring rains to parts of Luzon, weather officials said Thursday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the Bicol Region, Aurora and Quezon province will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the outer rain bands of Ineng. Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon or habagat will bring moderate to heavy rains over Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas and Mindoro provinces.

On the other hand, Metro Manila, Batanes, the Babuyan Group of Islands, Visayas and the rest of Central Luzon, CALABARZON and MIMAROPA will experience light to moderate with intermittent rains brought by the monsoon. PAGASA maintained that Ineng is unlikely to hit land and may exit the country by Saturday late evening or Sunday morning.
