These included basic details about the local government, nearby tourist spots, important directories such as police and fire stations, community reports, and a virtual map and marketplaces. Liloan Mayor Christina Frasco, who chairs LMP-Cebu, said the initiative was made to facilitate local governments’ transition to the digital realm.
LMP-Cebu spent around P1 million for the purchase of over 40 ninth-generation iPads needed for the app, said Daanbantayan Mayor and LMP-Cebu Treasurer Sun Shimura.Cebu Forward was developed by Cebu-based software engineering firm Overcode which also set up Liloan’s vaccination app.
I think before going digital, they need to fix the physical roads. I’m not sure if it’s DPWH or Cebu Province who should act, but honestly I don’t think it’s safe for motorists. To be specific, the 4 lane roads from Naga to Carcar.
If they wanted to go digital they should start by letting people book appointments online, complete forms online and renew things online, such as driving licences and passports. The Philippines loves paper forms, maybe it's some form of job creation.
