Claiming he is the only genuine “Bisaya,” presidential aspirant Manny Pacquiao said he is confident he can secure the votes of the people in Visayas and Mindano among all the other candidates vying for the top government position in the upcoming May 2022 national elections.
“Importante yung Mindanao na ikutin ko kasi alam ko na yung mga kababayan ko na mga Bisaya, eh sa lahat ng mga kandidato ako lang ang Bisaya ,” Pacquiao said in a press conference on Saturday, at the opening ceremonies of the Chooks-to-Go Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League in Pasay City. The senator also confirmed he will do a week-long sortie in the Davao region before going home to General Santos City to celebrate his 43rd birthday on December 17.Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go, another presidential candidate who hails from Davao earlier announced he is withdrawing from the 2022 presidential race.
In the same press conference, Pacquiao vowed to push for funding to modernize barangay health centers and community hospitals to lessen the burden of provincial and regional hospitals.
