Two more towns here have been declared insurgency-free as a result of a concerted effort of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Philippine National Police (PNP), and the Local Government Units (LGU) and its stakeholders.

QUEZON – Two more towns here have been declared insurgency-free as a result of a concerted effort of the Armed Forces of the Philippines , the Philippine National Police , and the Local Government Units and its stakeholders.

Previously, Macalelon, Gumaca, Unisan, Perez, Quezon, Alabat, San Narciso were already declared as insurgency-free municipalities. There were no incidents of terrorist-initiated violence, thus a Memorandum of Understanding among the AFP, PNP and the LGU involved was signed as part of the declaration of SIPS.

Quezon Police director Col. Ledon Monte lauded the efforts of the units under QPPO in securing the communities from terrorist infiltration and clearing them from the enemy’s affectation throughout the years.
