A total of fourteen fire trucks responded to the scene, while photos and videos on social media showed patients being evacuated. Ana Hospital Director Dr. Grace Padilla said 12 babies from the neonatal intensive care unit were transferred to their hospital, while Ospital ng Maynila Director Dr. Karl Laqui said two patients needing appendectomy were moved to their facility.

Appealing to anyone with big, industrial fans who would be willing to lend them. PGH urgently needs them to dissipate the smoke that enveloped the hospital due to the fire. Thank you.Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque thanked those who immediately responded with emergency donations and encouraged people to send assistance to the state-run hospital's official fundraising groups.

Roque , the state is obliged to restore the damaged hospital. Don't put the burden on the Filipino people.

Encouraged people to send assistance? May ipinatago bang pera ang administrasyong ito sa Filipinos? Nasaan ang mga inutang ninyo? Private citizens lagi tutulong? Ano kayo birthday? Shameless!

Why is this news?

Is that all, Roque? Thank you lang ok na? I dunno why the DDS govt has not given swift, all-out emergency response ahead of the pvt sector while it frenetically pours resources into nonsensical projects like the dolomite beach, red-taggings, etc.

I think all hospitals must take extra extra care of not catching fire. First it was a Pasig City hospital & not its the PGH. I hope there will not be others.
