MOTORISTS planning to drive along EDSA Timog Flyover-Southbound are advised to take Mabuhay lanes and other alternate routes as the road will be closed for repairs for 30 days starting June 25, 6 a.m., an official of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced.
In a public press briefing on Tuesday morning, MMDA Chairman Lawyer Romando 'Don' Artes said the 30-day reconstruction period was set by the Department of Public Works and Highways as part of safety measures for motorists to prevent the further damage and deterioration of the flyover.Initial assessment showed the need to replace the flyover's deck slab.Another lane of the flyover, however, remains open, but only to small private vehicles such as cars and lighter vehicles.
